Truepath can also be used to show flaws in the takeaway of the golf swing by starting with the golf ball further up the device and giving the student the visual aide of the incorrect paths of taking the club too far outside/to far inside displayed respectively in the pictures.
One of the many ways a hook is created is by a swing path that come from the inside and traverses to the outside. Truepath visually gives the student this result by the two inside pins before the ball being knocked down and one or both outside pins being knocked down on the outside of the path.
Club path enters the hitting area down the target line. As the body completes the rotation of the swing the arc travels slightly inside, thus knocking down the pins on the target side of the device.
One of the many ways a slice is created is from a club path that comes from the outside across the ball to the inside. Truepath shows this by the outside pins being knocked down as well as the pins on the inside of the path after impact visually giving the student that there is an "outside to inside" swing flaw.
